This piece is one third of my Botanical Connections series. The piece is inspired by traditional botanical illustration and vintage gardening journals.
The annotations on the work are the culmination of my own research into the plant, and draw on the facts I found that highlight the most prominent connections between womanhood and the natural world.
The piece is canvas stretched onto a timber frame.
